I'm looking for anybody who can help me with some pointers on facebook. I'd like to know how to send messages to friends and if any games are accessible.
I don't know that the games are accessible. Almost all the blind people I know use the mobile version of the site, as do I. You don't have the games, but you can send messages to friends. Click on the friend's name, and then, if you're using JAWS, press B till you get to the button that says, message. Then you can send one. Hope that answers part of your question.
I'm a total who uses Facebook mobile site. I can manage friends, send messages, receive messages, post to walls, read wall posts. For Facebook chats, I use the Pidgin, Empathy or Adium universal messaging clients. I haven't tried games lately.
I use face book, not the mobile sight. I play my puppy a game. I think some of the games are acsessable. But tonight I couldn't use it properly. I don't know why. I am a total as well.
I find the full FB site usable though difficult. I'll use it for things that are not possible on mobile or when mobile is down. FB Lite was a good compromise; what happened to it?
I too loved the FBLite site.
If I remember right, the folks at FB took it down because not enough people were using it?
At least that is what was said at the time.
I believe though, that was only after they took it down and people started asking what happened to it?
Oops!
I hit post before I was done. :D
When they offered FBLite I set it as my default.
Since that is no longer an option, I use a combination of the full, and mobile pages as well as the friend mail.
Usually, one of those things lets you eventually do whatever it is you wish to do.
